I tend to agree. AI is nothing but a massive fraud perpetrated on the Australian public. However, that will not stop businesses using it, in the mistaken belief that it's good for everyone. It does have the potential to lower costs, but the gains will be illusory. The benefits of AI will be limited to specific industries. A robot can beat a grandmaster at chess - great, so we know how powerful it can be. The problem with AI is not so much AI itself, but the knobs who implement systems with no understanding of its strengths or weaknesses, as evidenced by the Robodebt scheme. It's the buzzword of the century, and the worst is still to come.
