    I can't prove it, but my feeling is that ASX is more manipulated than the big overseas exchanges.

    I don't hold the big Aust miners, but do hold three gold producers and one gold explorer on ASX (yes, out of balance) ... for my one O/s gold holding, the SP on the TSX does lurch around quite a bit, but seems smoother, with noticeable, and longer trends - you can usually see some sort of driving force behind the moves, either at the time or some time after the event.

    I'm over the moon with my TSX goldie, and have fluked two significant top-ups, while not one of my shares has ever been in the red. (I've probably kyboshed it now)

    SP movements on the ASX seem irrational at times, and I congratulate anyone who can pinpoint driving forces, even two months on.

    I know that's not very helpful, but just an observation.
