Right. Also, I believe a large proportion, if not the majority of the money CBA borrows is from overseas, not from Australia. So lower income rates here will still require the same outlays by the bank as the borrowing rates for their existing debt don't go down. It's amazing that CBA's debt is climbing towards their total market cap. Tremendous risk.
Of course, the Labor govt that holders on here love to despise will never disrupt their operations by insisting on safe borrowing limits. If things ever go pear-shaped, you can be sure Prime Property Minister Albo will rush countless $Billions to bail them out. That implied Corporate Socialism is what allows CBA to sail so close to the wind. Again, the hypocrites holding this stock will rant furiously about moochers in this country feeding off the government teat when they are, in fact, counting on the very same thing.
