Mate i totally agree the economics dont stack up but in the end its user pay so the rehab should be factored into the end cost of the product. You are obviously acquanted with mining and share my disgust with lack of rehab. I have traveled our wonderful country extensively and I shake my head in shame when I see what our politicians have allowed miners to leave behind. We humans can't exist without mining but like cooking, when you make a mess clean it up dont leave it for someone else to sort. But they are not all rotten, look south of Bunbury WA and I would challenge you to identify where they had mined. Without naming congratulations and thanks to these guys
