Nice bounce on Aussie banks!
Perhaps market is waking up to the fact that unlike SVB, Aussie Bank deposits do not sit on Treasury securities, mortgage-backed securities and other liquid investments vulnerable to movements in interest rates. Plus the majority Aussie Bank funding are from depositors and minimal on open market funding.
I'm buying this weakness even though I'm up to my neck in CBA. Today at least, I took a tiny nibble and went for the smaller MQG and NAB for diversification and better pricing.
