I don't see what all the fuss is about. If u don't want to pay fees, use an ATM for cash withdrawals. If there aren't any ATMs around, switch to a bank that does have them.
I never pay any bank fees, and I rarely visit a bank branch. If the bank decides to start charging fees for services, I just go elsewhere, and if they ALL start to charge fees, I choose the one with the lowest.
Cash handling is inefficient and costly, and CBA has declared its attention to reduce its costs, and move towards a new paradigm of digital banking. This is to be applauded.
More generally, a bank is a commercial enterprise, not a gov social security organisation. So please, enough of the mock indignation and whingeing.
