Not many days left till the end of the year. Banks are trying hard to challenge each other for the Biggest Stuff Out for 2008. ANZ was way in front with the Opes mess. Then came NAB - "no we have no subprime problem", then raised $800m notes to cover the loss, CEO sacked. Suncorp almost gave its banking business away- a bank without banking!! CBA could win if the SP gets smashed because of the latest fiasco. St George and BankWest were taken out before they could compete. What a year for banks. Still a few nmore days, so keep those seat belts fastened.
