One of the reasons I hung on to APH post ACL was the potential for the legislation covering CBD to be changed. APH grows Finola, a variety with no THC but lots of CBD. The CBD portion of the plant was ploughed back in, but it is arguably the most valuable.
As of February 1, CBD oil will be legal, without a script over the counter at chemists Australia wide. I hope APH are out in front on this one. There are no approved CBD products on the market at present that qualify for the sch3 TGA listing as I understand it. It's not clear to me what the TGA will require to qualify a product, but hopefully it isn't clinical trials, after ACL that would be too much to ask.
All I could find was an article in the SMH-
"To register a product, a company must demonstrate that the products are high quality, safe, and efficacious. This is a time-consuming process, said Freshleaf. Products may not appear on shelves until next year."
