    "Westinghouse Solar Inc. (WEST) unveiled its pursuit of a merger with the Australian renewable energy company CBD Energy Ltd. (CBD.AU) as it reported its fourth-quarter loss narrowed from a year-earlier period that included losses from discontinued operations.
