CBE share price had a good rise yesterday on what appears to be the announcement from SFR Botswana regarding their T3 & A4 Projects. Based on the poor communication from CBE regarding the WA tenements, I don't believe it is anything to do with what they have done in Australia unless there is something going on in the background that we don't know about yet. CBE Board & Mgt have been secretive about a lot of their exploration in WA. Recently mentioned that their were looking to monetise their copper project. How do you do that without drilling enough holes to come up with a JORC? I am disappointed with them and don't really trust them - they seem shifty to me.
When Metal Tigers suggested the Kalahari Metals deal to CBE, I wondered why they wanted CBE to be the majority shareholder in exchange for an increase of MTR in CBE.
My guess is:
* Kalahari Metals ground looks more attractive no that SFR is going to build and operate a mine there.
* More drilling on Kalahari ground required to improve "sale" value
* Seems like easier for CBE is raise funds in Australia to help fund further Kalahari drilling during 2021 & beyond
* Maybe SFR has an interest in CBE's copper tenements in WA - maybe a farm-in arrangement initially
* Eventually, I am guessing but perhaps SFR may take-over CBE to gain control of Kalahari and WA tenements
* MTR has significant holdings in both CBE and KML. Perhaps they will sell to SFR in exchange for more SFR shares and a NSR.
Just a guess. Not too sure how long it will take to play out . This is not advice.
