I wouldn't write off fundamental analysis but its important to DYOR and keep in mind:

1.Don't believe company announcements. One can only trust the figures in the financial statements - because these get audited.

2.Don't believe paid broker reports. The more positive the report the weaker the company.

3.Don't listen to rampers on HC. Some of them are company insiders getting paid to post here.
