The FY22 Results to be announced may shine some light on the following topics.
Philippines Shift
When I read the April 2022 presentation of, I was uncertain what was meant by, “Philippines shift to commence in July-22”. I now realise it did not relate to a location shift – it was the commencement of a night shift to service the USA collections. That also explains why, in respect to the USA, the the April Presentation stated, “Purchase in excess of existing headcount capacity and implement strategies to preserve asset [PDL assets] returns.”
In respect to CCP jobs in the Philippines, Googling for information on CCP's USA operation found, “Credit Corp Inc is looking for people like you to join our exciting new US shift! Be part of this pioneering team today.” The English spoken in the Philippines is more similar to American English than British English, so apart from a time-zone issue, which can be obviated by shift workers in the Philippines. In future, I expect CCP to open a call centre in Puerto Rico, and kill two birds with one stone (cheaper wages and Spanish-English bilingualism).
Wallet Wizard in USA
The February 2022 presentation stated “Pilot commenced in two states, expanding to seven over coming months (population: 50 million). The two states were Illinois and Missouri, but I have seeen via the Internet that Utah was added. It is very difficult to get good information on CCP's business in the USA business via Google, so I presume there are now more than three states in the loop. We are bound to be told more in the next Announcement.
Cartstart, Wizpay and Radio Rentals
I imagine that these initiatives remain very small. Almost nothing has been mentioned about them so far, and it may stay that way, or nearly so.
