read the climate change act 2011 and you will realize that AGL CANNOT USE CCS in the clean energy report .

yes 100,s of millions spent yet CCS is excluded as a means to reduce carbon emissions in order to recieve the BILLIONS of valuable carbon credits that power companies will recieve.

CONDITIONAL of course that they present a clean energy report by the 15th August.

In AGL case they are applying for 990 million dollars worth of carbon credits that has a government guaranteed buy back ... yes AGL can cash them in .

power stations have to be CCS READY whatever that can be interpreted as ,. I assume that plans ,drawings ,specific location allocated in place ,but the actual implementation of CCS NO.

before CCS is rolled out ,if and when all the legal issues are resolved as to who will take responsibility in the event of carbon leakage??? that could take years .
LYP report on CCS was not favorable.

IMO COLDRY will be part of that report as a solution to reduce emissions.
