    Hi benson1610,

I'm afraid you are a bit confused with your radio spectrum, 1-1.25 MHz sits in the ITU 'Medium' RF range, along with AM radio broadcasts. 1-1.25 MHz radio waves are very low in the RF spectrum, which means they propagate well giving very good coverage over long distances and within buildings, but are not so good for high data rates as they lack bandwidth; a .25 MHz channel is probably insufficient bandwidth to support modern applications over a meshed radio network. I suspect DTC would more likely operate in the 1-1.25 GHz band which would give them limited coverage but much higher bandwidth (.25GHz is a thousand time more bandwidth than .25MHz) and therefor data carrying capacity.

It's even more confusing as 'shortwave' of HF radios operate in the 'high frequency' band between 3MHz and 30MHz and also have excellent propagation characteristics, including radio waves reflecting off the ionosphere, which makes it suitable for aviation and ship to shore radio and other long distance communications applications.

BTW, congrats to CDA on meeting and exceeding AGM guidance, let's hope it breaks the SP out of the doldrums and puts my holdings back in black. GLTHA from marcus A- an old techo!
