DTC Government Solutions Welcomes Lieutenant General Robert Ashley, Jr. (Ret.) to its Board of Directors and Government Security Committee

Ashburn, Va, Oct. 24, 2023 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- DTC Government Solutions, a leading provider of innovative software solutions for Intelligence Operations, Defense, and Law Enforcement, is pleased to announce the appointment of Lieutenant General (LTG) Robert Ashley (Retired) to their Board of Directors and Government Security Committee (GSC).

LTG Robert Ashley brings more than 36 years of dedicated United States military active-duty experience to the DTC Government Solutions Board of Directors. His expertise will contribute to the companies' ongoing commitment to excellence and innovation in the field of security and intelligence. Notably, he completed six combat tours in Iraq and Afghanistan, demonstrating his commitment to national security and defense.

Among his many achievements, LTG Ashley became the 21st Director of the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA), a three-star officer position appointed by the U.S. President and approved by the U.S. Senate. Prior to this role, he served as the Army Deputy Chief of Staff, G-2, where he provided invaluable guidance on intelligence, counterintelligence, and security matters to the Secretary of the Army and the Army Chief of Staff.

LTG Ashley previously commanded key military units, including the 206th Military Intelligence Battalion at Fort Gordon, Ga., the Intelligence Squadron at the Office of Military Support in Washington, D.C., and the 525th Battlefield Surveillance Brigade (Airborne) under the XVIII Airborne Corps.

His pivotal assignments included serving as the Director of Intelligence for the U.S. Joint Special Operations Command, Director of Intelligence for the U.S. Central Command, Deputy Chief of Staff, Intelligence, for the International Security Assistance Force, and Director of Intelligence for U.S. Forces in Afghanistan. In addition, he served as Commanding General for the U.S. Army Intelligence Center of Excellence (USAICoE) at Fort Huachuca, Ariz.
