im assuming you are trading the DOW futures?
if you are I would be a little bit more patient with your trades
the easiest time to make money is when markets a highly directional or bouncing off major support
like when they are dropping like a stone or during a short covering rally or major support levels likes 10,000
any other times it is pretty hard
i wait weeks for the right time to trade, if i try and fail i just wait another few weeks
