Hey all,
Lots of excitement the last couple of days and many new investors/traders.
Here are two pieces to the puzzle I am sure many are intrested in.
HOW TO CONVERT A NASDAQ PRICE TO CDI (Aussie price) EQUIVELENT.
Take the UNIS Price
Divide this by 6
Divide this by the AU/US exchange rate
The answer should be the price on the ASX if all things are equal.
EXAMPLE
UNIS price : US$1.50
AU$ : $0.7177
Plug in the numbers.
$1.50 divided by 6 divided by 0.7177
ASX value is $0.348 cents per share.
SECOND TOOL (during Daylight savings times.)
Pretrade in the US starts @ midnight AEST (Australian Eatern Standard Time). The actual market opens at 01.30 hr (09.30hr in NY).
Market closes at 08.00hr (AEST) but they have an after hours trading session of four hours which means it finishes at midday AEST.
ON 4 Jan, the market reacted to the close price but then in the last half hour of after hours trade in NY the price climbed quickly. This allowed some people to get in @ AU$0.18 and sell in the 20's. Some were confused and missed the opportunity.
Tip. Watch closely the NASDAQ price up to midday AEST.
Hope this helps. Sorry if you are still reading and understand it all.
