A crack in a wall is a crack no mistakes, a pressure load on a wall is a load. Thickened tailings paste weighs more than tailings fines as cement will be added. Show the MGB the analysis including rainfall analysis, fracture mechanics soil analysis, foundation analysis, cement setting time in regards to rainfall events analysis, backed up by computational FEA / CFD modeling by GHD of using tailings dam 4 wall which has a 200m crack in the wall before making such statement as dated the 17th Jan 2014.
ASX announcement 13th May 2013; "The board has received geotechnical advice to the effect that the tailings wall has been compromised and rectification to reinstate to operational status is not recommended".
ASX announcement 17th Jan 2014; "Civil engineers GHD, the tailings dam designer and oversee for TSF4 dam construction bla, bla, have now provided certification that proposed interim tailings storage is acceptable.
