Yes a stock can still run with bucket loads of floating shares, i made a killing on 88e a couple of years ago even though i let some of the profit go. Retailers were quite new and green back then but a bit wiser now, makes it harder to find them opportunities.

The markets mainly dominated by short term traders at the moment and they look for tightly held stocks that are easy to move. No idea what happened to the Warren buffet type they seem to have vanished
