roh, they have. You just haven't noticed. They now own over 40% of the shares, and can take that to over 45% tomorrow - either number is effective control of the company, as they would win every vote at a GM with those numbers.

Added to which the bank in which CDU's major shareholder owns a significant stake is now owed $50m by CDU. It is almost certainly the case that like any other bank loan (including most mortgages) that loan can be called in tomorrow.

The Chinese have made their moves and can now control CDU. Whether they choose to exercise that control is entirely at their discretion.
