COLOURFUL copper explorer CuDeco has claimed drilling at its Las Minerale deposit in Queensland has returned high-grade copper intersections of up to 26%, which is expected to support resource estimates for the deposit.

CuDeco said diamond drilling was still continuing within the central zone and east and west along strike.
"Spectacular results from [drilling] prove the existence of high copper grades associated with the chalcocite zone which lies beneath the native copper and above the primary sulphide mineralisation," CuDeco said.
Results include 3m at 24.8% copper from 143m, 37m at 4.04% from 11m including 3m at 4.47% copper from 127m and 38m at 1.62% copper from 88m including 18m at 2.57% copper from 105m.
"Systematic infill drilling with a combination of [reverse circulation] and diamond holes is continuing on a 25m grid across strike in the Central Zone of Las Minerale," the company said.
"This drilling is designed to generate sufficiently detailed close spaced data to support resource estimate."
Shares in CuDeco shed 2c to close at $4 on Friday and were up 7c or nearly 2% to $4.07 in morning trading.
