You must have forgotten about the "Full Disclosure" clause which form part of the ASX Listing Rules then.

He cannot make the rules to suit himself or to keep "SOME" shareholders happy. He has to abide by the ones that are set in place by the Company's Act or risking having to pay the consequences if it comes to the attention of the Regulators.

So, if he has any information which could be relevant and/or which could have "ANY" influence to the share price in any ways or form, those information must be released.
