    Shadow,

Sandfire, along with ALL other miners quite readily overcome all those scientific problems put up by you guys and report as accurately as they can, the total tonnes mined to the nearest tonne and the average copper % in those mined tonnes to the nearest .1%.

isn't that absolutely amazing as you guys say its not scientifically possible?

Every self respecting miner knows that they need to keep track of everything that is mined by tonnes and grade % as its the only way to know how efficiently the plant is running. Every miner tracks the output of concentrates versus what has been mined so they can see how efficiently the extraction process is working.

You can see this detail in every quarterly report put out by those that are mining. its very standard practice and all other miners seem capable of doing it, but you guys argue that CDU is so special that they can't do it! What a load of nonsense!

12 months of mining has gone by since the company has seen fit to report what it has actually mined by tonnes and grade. None of that has been processed so its ALL in the stockpiles.

Ozblue is quite correct. The company knows this information as its standard stuff that a miner keeps track of. They just haven't told their owners about it. The owners have a right to know about their mining stats on a regular basis.

Promised dates on lots of stuff keep moving. That is pretty normal for a big project. As Oz says though, why not explain why the dates move rather than just ignore the missed dates?

Reality is quite often different to the original plan so its no big deal that dates are missed.

I find it rather curious though that all have been waiting for the mining operation to learn what is below the ground, but we have now had 12 months of mining with no report of what has been extracted. Wow, that is what I call opaque. No owners have a clue as to what has come out of the ground in 12 months.

Clearly there is copper coming out of the ground, there is no question. The issue is all about how much is coming out and how that may compare with expectations. If fabulous grades are coming out, why would you keep that a secret from the owners? If the grades are pretty boring though, you might feel reluctant to be reporting that, but owners do have a right to know what is going on with the key task their company is working on, being the mining of ore.
