Nah, if fergie was a manager today he would have been cancelled for his mistreatment of players, or they'd just not respond to him. His success was only possible in context. Most modern managers would be much better than he was tactically, most players are better than the players he selected. Some of the players he identified as being world class were absolute rubbish.
Everything happens when the time is ripe for it to happen, when all the ducks are lined up.
A different CEO here may well have launched the product already and found that an indifferent market was not very interested in a passive BP wrist monitor - remember, that is all it was going to be originally, and all we would have if things hadn't gone sideways.
There has been alot of adaptation going on, that should be enough to tell you that at any point in it's development, the board have been forced to review their strategy for whatever reason. Any launch prior to now would likely have been premature given how dramatically the product and strategy have evolved, and a premature and poorly executed launch would most likely have ended the company.
