The recent five year co marketing
deal between inHealth and Anthem (US second largest health insurer) will allow inHealth to reach 106m people through their affiliates. Guess who Anthem has partnered with as of July 2018? None other than American Well and Samsung! Consumers with the Samsung health app on their device gain access to America Well Telehealth services. Also the deal mentions Telehealth services that are at this time not offered by inHealth’s website so
expect growth within inhealths service offerings throughout 2019.
Finaly for those who are not into Apple products, Apples current Heart Study utilising the sensor on the new gen Apple Watch is in partnership with non other than America Well. This current study with its recent highly visible launch massively increased awearness of Telehealth services available though electronic devices.
So the soon to be announced GEMDC (Phillips IMO) partnership is the start of CDX’s positioning in this sector which is only very recently starting to warm up. The deals between the above mentioned major companies sharing a vision of boosting Telehealth adoption worldwide is only within the last 9 months. The launch slated for this months GEMDC (Phillips IMO) is for developing a sleep apnea Telehealth program to work alongside existing proven medical devices (two were showcased by Phillips this year at CES 2019). It’s important to remember the deal is for
multiple Telehealth applications across GEMDC’s product range.
