danny - for the sake of TIS, I hope Quintiles have a sales team ready to go.

Being involved in Bio/Med companies for over 12 years now, I know that it takes anywhere between 1 to 3 months of training and then prelim field work for mid level sales executives to get prefect in sales pitch, comparisons, technical jingle, first level commercial negotiations, etc.

Reading the announcements tells me that this team is almost ready to go .. its not that they would be sitting idle - they are most likely already doing their work with some pre-sales activities, taking conditional orders etc - all of which will be mobilised the minute after the approval message arrives.
