I also think that the result on the share price is going to heavily depend on how the major shareholders view this announcement.

I had a quick look at AAE's slightly out of date website, and it appears that about 80% of the shares are held by major shareholders.

There was also a Shaw's Stockbrokers report from July that rated AAE as a "speculative buy". The report put very little value on the Swan Hill Ethanol Plant and perhaps, more importantly, made no allowance at all for production from Swan Hill in their report, focusing only on the Beatrice Biodiesel Plant.

The major players may see the current announcement as a positive*
