My copy of the AFR is sitting on the bench waiting for me; still wrapped in its plastic with a bit of grass stuck on it. The gyrations in the AFR lately are doing my head in. There seems to be no middle ground. China is either saving us all, or is blowing one hell of a bubble that is about to pop and with it everything tumbles down.

Saved or going to hell in a handbasket?

I think that everyone needs to have a bit each way, because the two scenarios don't cancel each other out to give a zero (benign outcome). We'll either have one or the other, and if you are all the 'other' you will be stuffed.

should I go and read the Hewson bit or watch TV?
