Well it seems assured that both the CEFC and ARENA have been given a reprieve after nearly being shut down when TA was in charge. This is good news for all renewable energy companies including CWE.
CWE recently announced that they had been loaned $21 mil by the CBA to replace the CEFC loan they already had for the next stage of PWEP. I am not sure why they did that other than as a demonstration of their ability to raise finance through non government lending institutions.
I have a feeling that CWE will still tap into the CEFC and ARENA for future projects when the need arises.
In the case of ARENA, it appears the grants they give are for projects that devote a percentage of their efforts to benefit other renewable energy companies. CWE do seem to be a standout in the wave energy industry in that respect.
