He's a bit late. I was buying at less then $300/kg in 2000. Unfortunately I didn't have very much money so couldn't buy very much. Still, I have more than 99% of people - who have absolutely none.

Another confession - apart from buying a few ingots (1,3,5 kg) I spent most of my pittance buying numismatic/proof/collectors/rare coins. BIG mistake! Bullion was/is the way to go.

However, I still hold, and am very happy doing so.
