Just to pre-empt the usual shade throwers... Remember that most new technologies are expensive, but over time, costs come down. We shouldn't use today's cost as a reason not to investigate the potential usefulness in things like vaccines, since the costs could eventually come down enough to make such uses feasible.
Personally, I look forward to the day when they are so affordable and routine, we can all get annual stem cell booster shots to help with the variety of inflammatory disease processes many of us cope with. Imagine stems as a routine preventative for heart disease!
