I can't answer on the direct injection idea, I'm sure a smart cookie can comment on this. I do know that going for "the covid hype" was an opportunity that allowed a fast track towards this indicator - important for a company with finite time and money. If they just went for all cause ards I doubt we would have been at the point of having commenced a phase 2 trial. I too would love to see them have a 100k patient trial on everything and just go for every indication under the sun all at once, but time and money are factors (as well as patients).
