You are correct whytee....
It could have been an absolute fluke, that the patients treated with no elevated inflammation ( CRP levels ) , observed no benefit whatsoever from the cells that are accepted and clinically proven, as reducing inflammation...
It could be a fluke.
It could also be a complete and utter fluke, that the company, and the MSC field in it's current state accepts that the role of MSC's in particular partly includes reducing inflammation.... and that most .... the majority of patients with inflammation saw massive benefits in taking the cells.
So in summary...
Uninflamed benefit was zero
Inflamed benefit was so large that an effect such as this has never been observed before, and it only occurred in patients that were inflamed.
Could be a fluke..... but it's starting to look like a duck, smell like a duck, sound like a duck, fly like a duck, taste like a duck....
Multiplicity does not change the actual results, all it does is alter the P value. It does not change the fact that no uninflamed patients had any benefit..... and that all the inflamed patients did.....
