In the short term, before any vaccines are made to offer ongoing protection, IF remestemcel_L works as we hope it will, it should mean we can instantly go back to being normal again. There will no longer be the overhanging threat of death to anyone who has strayed too far from their isolation bubble as an effective treatment can be administered. Sure it will mean the curve of new contaminations may rise or extend out but the relative cost of that compared to having whole economies shut down for extended periods would dwarf in comparison, Add in the psychological benefits to the 99%+ percentage of the population that does not have the virus - win win.
