I am a long-term holder and very positive on MSB. Like many, I am completely flummoxed by the current trading pattern. So much so that I am starting to get paranoid feelings about its cause. Most of the "down' trading seems to be on the ASX. Its too small to really attract US attention at the moment. It also appears to be informed trading. Perhaps not sufficiently informed to constitute insider trading, but certainly the use of more knowledge than would be expected from normal market players. Yes, we do have the prolific regular, non-holding negative posting trolls, day in and day out. We all know who they are but do not know who is paying them to annoy everybody. However, after looking at the morning "stacks" for quite a while i see a regular pattern. Just after market opening there is a 100K + buy bid about 6 or 7 points below the opening price - sometimes a few more similar bids recently a few points lower. Similarly on the sell side there is a bid about 10 cents above the buy bid and for 100K+ shares. Day in and day out the buy side is just about double the sell side - yet the shares very frequently finish very close to the original low buy initial point. today, that bid was 91c - a crazy price for a company with so much potential. Yet the company takes no action to make announcements to counter that fall.
So, is it possible that a very large Australian into. holder, who is known to be quite close to the company, could be responsible for the major portion of steady shorting. If they had a pretty good idea of approval timetables, and a large enough holding to be able to withstand a 10 cent sudden knock,
it would be quite possible. With the high beta value of the share they could just bounce about on the rebounds. They could easily hold the shares within a certain range and be a big buyer in a cash raise.
Thats just an idea off the top of my head. Anybody got any thoughts? I really don't care myself, I am just waiting for the almost inevitable first approval. I just wish that the well known trolls would depart to the other shares that they are paid to run down and in some cases beat up. Then we could engage in reasonable discourse.
