Perhaps Silviu or whoever prepared the presentation was saving slide space- perhaps LED's earlier slide refers - but I am confident (of course fools often are too and wrongly so) that I do understand the Kaplan Meier as a tool and that I can make sense of the words on the slide (statistically and scientifically) (ie - they are no unintelligble to me). But the graphic doesn't relate to the words.

Frequently, in my experience, Siliviu, and others speak to lay audiences by abstracting away levels of technical detail. Sometimes that makes what is said ambiguous - it could be interpreted in different ways - sometimes it also makes it vague - and in vagueness generally I see deniability generally. I don't particularly single out Silviu for using vague language to preserve deniability but I think he (and MSB under his stewardship) do use that vagueness sometimes to avoid being held to account - and that is not always a bad thing.

But the slide in my opinion can't be understood as a single slide it combines two separate concepts - you'd need to look at least to two slides as LED did and probably further to understand in detail what Silviu is saying in my opinion.

No correspondence with any posters posting wise ass narcisism will be entered into. Courteous correction or disagreement appreciated. But I'm pretty confident of my ground here.
