Potency assays. It's not about potency per se. The FDA is recently obsessed with tracking and evaluating the precise operation of the therapy.
It's odd that they are doing this, since they normally don't bother.
Indeed, many drugs and therapies get approved on the basis of correlation, the precise operation of them is not understood and nobody worries.
