This looks like a singular Patent approval on its way for that one country, not full therapy approval in that country, big difference. Though they are important….
MSB have over 1000 patents in place to protect their therapies and their extensive development methodologies.
These patents are issued worldwide/various countries to formalise the patent protection (to stop therapy theft) as US is only one country and in the end MSB’s therapies will be used worldwide.…we sometimes forget this!
MSB need as many countries as possible to register and protect/respect their patented work.
Paeds aGVHD approval or any approval for that mater by FDA opens up multi billion dollar sales for the US.
However once FDA approval is given, many other countries who need these therapies will just jump on board and approve the therapy more easily for their country once they have observed MSB has passed the gold standard of approval from the US FDA.
The some estimated valuations and revenues talked about here on this forum (even for Peads aGVHD) don’t include any revenue that will naturally flow in outside of US. (ROW - Rest of World). That’s a fun thought also!
