I have absolutely no idea but I gotta say, tunable stiffness and viscoelasticity are a big part of my positive lifestyle choices.
Vis-a-vis nothing, from an evolutionary functional perspective, it's not surprising that mechanical substrate profiles will play a part in immunomodulatory efficacy given that MSCs transform locally and specifically to the biochemical and tissue environment they are attracted to be it heart, gut, brain, etc via the vasculatory system of which they form a key part when engrafted to orchestrate local healing.
