this has nothing to do with mesoblast. Let’s not sucker in more people with hype like some did over the weekend.
This is likely to correlate to the correction issued by JAMA that 75% of the Population sample for their study were still in hospital (not 88% of the sample had died as headline most news outlets ran with and are still running with - and cheekily mesoblast was happy to allow to run by not clarifying in their announcement). Thankfully for us all, the survival rate is higher.
a lot of that number could also be non ventilated or non severe patients.
