Two things I would say to this @howie1300 ....
1. Still averaging over 1000 deaths a day in the USA (sadly) and IMO opening up states prematurely could see this number increase again so I think in about 4-6 weeks this number could still be 300+ ?
2. ARDS is caused by a number of illnesses (eg. Flu) and certain situations (eg. traumas), which is what we are targeting so I believe if successful we will have plenty of cases to treat in the future across the globe.
I would add that the bonus for MSB about this trial is we have had a free hit at a phase 3 trial through NIH funding and it was rushed through to start due to the pandemic with literally unlimited patients to ensure enrollment was extremely quick in comparison to 'normal' trials processes. This I see as an enormous benefit to MSB, which 'normally' wouldn't have been available.
@dave sss I noticed that article for Giostar doesn't mention ARDS specifically so I don't see it being a problem for MSB in the future.
