Ty I was pleasantly surprised to see the WSJ article yesterday on MSB. For the reason being it's one of my sources of reference ....not perhaps so much these days but a while back we did have some significant USA stock holdings as part of a then managed portfolio. I found it a valuable research tool as whilst I'm aware of many ASX companies I'd the first one to admit I wasn't so well informed on on the USA ones....so WSJ helped me get up to speed on what some companies did who owned them where they were at etc. Whilst I don't always concur the information provided was very valuable to enable me to improve my knowledge of USA markets. This article was enough to make me sit up ....why as you say because of who has written it and the publication who published it. Very encouraging news.
As to shorts ....shorts are always going to be the polar opposite of investors....I'm not a fan especially when you get treated like a complete idiot who has no idea of investing or the stock market in general....I'm like well ok you have your thought but tell you what come and sit where I sit and when you've got the assets we have then feel free to tell me about all those bad investment decisions made or how you'd manage it better and make gazillions more if you had access to it.....like we've not had many people wanting to manage our investments on our behalf before
we've even had companies writing entire proposals to show other people on what they could do with assets like oh this lot.....which by the way we gave them permission to do as an example
....as I wrote the other day some people need to comprehend that their posts and strategies either simply do not apply or they have not taken into account the sheer amount of assets and resources (and i'm not just talking solely about material assets and resources ) some posters here have ....so I'm like whatever do your own thing but please don't insult others who have gone before you ....because you know what they set the bar too on the other side of the equation ....see my other post this morning. Shorters need investors too ...it's like a symbiotic relationship at certain times in a particular companies journey ....sometimes a toxic relationship but hey in the end they go their way we go ours.
