Actually the project is funded by a $12,627,500 CRC grant. Cartherics is the lead organisation so gets to control the funding, Mesoblast is the only publicly listed company in the team (last time I checked which was a while ago) but not the only business.
I did a post going over who seemed to be related to who in the list of team members. If you want more info on historical stuff scroll up through the chat @optimistus and I had. What is much more interesting/exciting is that the project continues to move forward and evolve, thanks @FullMoonFever
