do you genuinely think pharma will not just price next gen meds to pick up the drop off?
on top of that, if you keep people alive for longer they will develop something else, health will always find a way to be astronomically expensive whilst humans insist on finding ways to keep ourselves alive longer than our bodies would have otherwise sustained....
an observation only, not a judgement - just don't think that next gen medicine will necessarily make healthcare cheaper.
