T2 Biosystems Inc. shares rose 105% to 80 cents after hours as the company entered a
worldwide licensing agreement for a rapid Covid-19 test developed by the Center of
Discovery and Innovation at Hackensack Meridian Health.
The test will be adapted to run on the company's T2Dx instrument. The company said the
New Jersey-based health network has used the test with potential coronavirus patients.
T2 Biosystems also said it expects first-quarter revenue of $2.2 million to $2.6
million, compared with $1.8 million in the first quarter of 2019.
