People can believe what ever they what... Secular Australia allows that. Religious societies DON'T it's eigher the religion or punishment.
So yes secular Australia does muck around with religous beliefs because the religious actions shouldn't be imposed on everyone.
ie There's no death penality for working on Saturday.
