However, I track investor sentiment very closely, via Market Vane, and we don't have anywhere near the bullishness we saw during the 2006 and 2008 spikes, let along the 1980 blow-off
I'm not saying we won't get another intermediate peak in the months ahead, but I think we're going higher in the medium term, perhaps after a short-term correction.
Indeed you're correct, the shorts have increased significantly in the past 2 weeks, but this was only after the biggest short covering event since the GFC in early July, which I reported here.
That short covering a month ago was a big signal for me that we were going higher... the bullion banks would've known the Koreans were buying etc.
