    on this I agree with mike

    the west has cut it's own throat - and shows nil knowledge of not only fixing the problem but indeed recognising the problem.

    It is not the cost of a house that is a problem - it is the price of the land it sits on.

    Almost every nation has it wrong imo. Whilst we continue to allow people to own land and to sell that land to others who speculate that the price of that land will rise - more than inflation --- we guarantee that we will have poverty and crisis at regular intervals.

    The cost of housing relates to almost everything important in our lives - including our health.

    We are completely addicted to property - not for it's use, but as a means to appear wealthy - and we are anything but.
    There are value distortions everywhere.
