I agree to a point re RIO... however who know's who was playing hard ball... maybe KS just wanted too much?
I am not certain that RIO was 100% the issue. maybe KS wanted significantly more than the UMC price of $1.29? per tonne. when we would all be over the moon about that now.
It will be interesting re the sale... my bet is they will be considering two ways of selling:
1/ willing to accept a sale of all six at a significantly discounted price (option 1); failing this 2/ sale of each site at a more appropriate price which may see just 2 or 4 sold.
either way it is good news to move forward and hopefully get some cash from sites we were not going to realise for sometime.
I am assume they have already done some home work to test if parties are interested before puting them up for sale... that is the usual process as well.
