Rock, interesting you mention Alwyn. IMHO the next 3-6 months will either make him or relegate him to yet another CEO who tries hard but can't make it happen.

Will he be the next Poli (AQA)? Or will he be the next nobody?

I very much like the way he took some time to condcut a comprehensive review of IOH before doing anything significant. It took a while and the waiting was excruciating but he needed to build a plan based on a very clear picture of where we were at.

He expanded the team to accomodate some very highly credentialled managers. No doubt this is now allowing him more time to knock on doors and work "on" the business as opposed to working "in" the business.

He is working hard not only with potential partners but also the State Govt to secure future port access, rail access etc. It must be consuming a great deal of time and effort but he is shaking the right trees IMHO.

I like the way Alwyn is operating, he is not an arm waver but rather appears to be a diligent and highly organised worker.

At this stage I am backing him to succeed with confidence.
